NerdLanta Presents Fan-Friction Battle Theatre! Hosted by Paul Byron

It's old-time Radio Theatre with FanFiction stories presented by two competing teams of voice actors & writers. Each team consists of four members that have one month to work together and come up with an original play script based on whatever FanFiction theme our filthy minds come up with.

For this show, the theme is going to be Quentin Tarantino / Star Wars. Our voice actors and writers will put together a play script involving any element within the Tarantino and Star Wars films | At our live show (podcast recording) each team will perform their radio theatre style play to a live audience. Music and sound effects will be provided to help narrate the stories. Each performance is 25 minutes long | Once both teams have completed their performances, the audience will be asked to vote on which of the two teams should win the competition. The voting is based on best acting, script, and creativity | Whoever they select will then move onto the next show to face a new team. Prizes will be given away to the winning team. Most likely alcohol, tacos, and whatever the hell else we can come up with.

Regular Hours

    • Monday - Friday: 5pm - 2:30am ... Saturday: 12pm - 2:30am ... Sunday: 12pm - 12am

    • We are open every day of the year except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Occasionally, we host Private Events which we'll post about on our Facebook page.

    • Ages 21+ only after 8pm every day.

A quick note on our games. We are a working arcade bar -- not a museum. We have technicians come out twice a week to take care of major issues and we handle smaller problems in house. But there will be times when some games are down or you might find a problem caused by the person who played before you. These games are not as young as they used to be and get hundreds of plays a week from small children and drunken adults (which, as you know, are very similar). If you come across a game that is experiencing problems and there is not a sign on it, please let your friendly Joystick bartender know so we can make sure the problem is addressed.

With all that in mind, here’s what we got!
